Title: PLM CI/CD Architect (Teamcenter)

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52498

Duration: 06-12 months Contract with potential extension

Job Description:

Client has multiple Teamcenter environments across business units with varying versions, customizations, integrations, workflows, and configurations. Deployment activities are currently manual, time-consuming, and dependent on specialized knowledge, resulting in inconsistent deployments, longer release cycles, and increased operational risk.

The purpose of this role is to engage a consultant to establish a standardized PLM CI/CD framework that automates the build, validation, testing, and deployment of Teamcenter customizations and configuration packages while supporting environment-specific variations through configurable deployment parameters.

The scope of this initiative is limited to automating the lifecycle of Teamcenter code and configuration changes. Teamcenter version consolidation, enterprise-wide environment standardization, and large-scale upgrade transformation activities are outside the scope of this engagement.

The primary objective is to implement a standardized Build Test Deploy framework capable of supporting Teamcenter customizations, patches, and configuration deployments across multiple environments.

Key objectives include:

  • Establish a Build Once, Deploy Anywhere deployment model for supported Teamcenter artifacts.
  • Automate package build, validation, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Implement security controls throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, including secure credential management, artifact integrity validation, automated security scanning, and vulnerability detection.
  • Establish a centralized artifact management strategy that standardizes artifact versioning, storage, retention, promotion, and traceability across environments.
  • Reduce deployment effort, manual intervention, and deployment-related errors.
  • Improve deployment traceability, auditability, and governance.
  • Support controlled promotion across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Enable automated rollback and recovery for supported deployment artifacts.

Target deployment lifecycle:

Source Control Build & Package Security & Vulnerability Scanning Automated Validation Automated Testing Deployment Post-Deployment Verification UAT Approval Production Release
