Position Summary
The Platform Product Manager is responsible for leading the implementation while facilitating operational activities relating to research, analysis, governance, development, status reporting and communication for the Palantir Foundry platform. This role will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in defining and documenting the platform vision, strategy, governance, requirements, priorities, dependencies, risks, development, testing, and delivery of technology solutions for the Foundry platform. The Platform Product Manager is the conduit between end users, Palantir resources, business partners, stakeholders and the product development team(s).
The Platform Product Manager will work closely with end users and business partners to understand, identify and prioritize the creation and hosting of products as well as quantifying the cost, value and efficiency the platform delivers. This role will identify priorities for establishing structure around the use of the Foundry platform, implement procedures for onboarding new products to the platform and oversee governance of product development across the platform to ensure it meets HCA Healthcare’s standards. They will record and communicate priorities through product backlogs, roadmaps as well as objectives and key results (OKRs). This role will analyze and report on platform utilization and performance to provide additional guidance on prioritization decisions. They will work closely with one or more product development teams to acquire and represent the voice of the customer, define business value and refine requirements to deliver technology products that solve business problems.
The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering high quality solutions, standard procedures and applying product best practices within agreed upon timelines. The Platform Product Manager will need excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate excels at building and maintaining strong relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders. Consistent and effective communication while delivering high quality technology products will be the measure of success for this role.
Major Responsibilities:
Platform Product Manager
• 4-5 years of relative experience in leading products/platforms through their lifecycle
• Possesses technical knowledge in product/platform governance and management
• Leads the platform lifecycle thru inception, elaboration, development, testing, and implementation
• Performs and leads product team in defining platform vision, strategy and roadmap
• Collaborates in translating business requirements into actionable platform and technical requirements
• Defines, tracks, and communicates relevant platform KPIs measuring performance and delivery of business value
• Identifies, tracks, mitigates and communicated dependencies and risks
• Develops a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform platform priorities
• Develops strong relationships and regularly communicates with platform stakeholders to shape platform strategy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required – comfort presenting to senior leaders
• Consistently delivers according to commitments and platform roadmap
• Competency with industry standard tools for work item management (Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub etc.)
• Self-motivated and able to stay focused in complex environments
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Master's degree preferred
