Description

DESCRIPTION

Ria Digital is seeking a high-caliber, technically elite Platform Engineering Manager to lead our infrastructure and reliability efforts. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a "force multiplier" someone who remains deeply technical while driving strategic delivery for our global mobile and web-based money transfer platforms.

You will lead a team of talented engineers in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment that demands 24/7 operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a well-certified expert who leverages AI-driven solutions to automate processes, ensuring our digital products are scalable, secure, and resilient.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership & AI Integration

  • AI-Driven Operations: Actively apply AI concepts and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to enhance automation, predictive monitoring, and incident response.
  • Platform Maturity: Drive the evolution of web server farms, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments and AWS cloud architecture to support massive scale.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Enforce a "codify everything" mandate, utilizing Terraform, Puppet and Ansible to maintain a gold standard for infrastructure.

Operational Excellence & SRE

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the lifecycle of initiatives from architectural planning to production execution and post-release support.
  • Observability & Reliability: Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs; implement advanced metrics and tracing to ensure issues are detected before they impact customers.
  • Release Management: Architect GitHub-based CI/CD workflows that support zero-downtime deploys, automated rollbacks, and rigorous artifact governance.
  • Disaster Recovery: Lead DR simulations and automate failover workflows across databases, DNS, and load balancers.

People Management & Collaboration

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers and administrators, defining clear roles and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Sync: Act as the bridge between Development, Product, and Business teams, navigating high-volume communication to ensure alignment.
  • Reporting & Governance: Define KPIs for system performance and team velocity, providing clear visibility of risks and outcomes to upper management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Education: Relevant Technical Degree (Computer Science or Engineering) and professional certifications (AWS Pro, CKA, or similar).
  • Technical Depth: Expert-level knowledge of Windows servers, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Terraform. Good understanding of networking and security.
  • Automation: Mastery of Python, bash, PowerShell, and Ansible for both Linux and Windows server automation.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to document processes and communicate complex technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Scale: Proven track record at a large technology company handling high-reliability, distributed systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AI/ML Ops: Experience deploying or managing AI/ML platforms and modern cloud-native tooling.
  • Advanced Networking: Deep familiarity with F5 (LTM/GTM), service mesh (Istio), and zero-trust security patterns.
  • GitOps: Implementation of Argo CD or Flux at scale.
  • Financial Services: Experience in FinTech or high-compliance environments (PCI-DSS).

TOOLING/STACK SNAPSHOT

  • Cloud: AWS (EKS, S3, Route 53, Global Accelerator)
  • Orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions (Primary), Azure DevOps
  • IaC: Terraform, Ansible
  • Observability: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK
  • Security: HashiCorp Vault, Qualys, SentinelOne, F5 Distributed Cloud Bot Defense.
