Job Title: Platform Engineer I

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)

Length: 6 months

Role Overview

This position involves evaluating, designing, and implementing technology solutions to advance business strategies. The role will support third-party software for the Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Data Repository (SDR) business lines. This involves working with vendors to understand upcoming changes, fitting software into the technology roadmap, and designing plans to ensure business continuity. The incumbent will work within an agile squad, collaborating with the product owner to define user stories and develop effective technology solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaison with software vendors for systems utilized by the Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Dealer Compliance lines of business.
• Stay informed of upcoming changes and enhancements in vendor software and their business impact.
• Assist the line of business in designing solutions to incorporate software changes and work with partners for effective implementation.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business technology roadmap to inform recommendations on software utilization.
• Implement and maintain new features and capabilities, continuously improving technical products and services.
• Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards.
• Contribute to operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
• Keep up with technology trends and innovations in the field.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for the team's products and services.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience: Three or more years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in commodities trading platforms and swap dealer compliance requirements.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kiodex, Cappitech, and other Capital Markets IT platforms.
