Platform Engineer AWS Full Stack DevOps

Kforce has a client in the telecommunications industry that is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer (AWS/Full Stack/DevOps) to join a collaborative engineering team building next-generation cloud platforms and enterprise applications. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, helping deliver highly scalable, cloud-native solutions that support AI-driven analytics and modern application development. This role is 100% Remote (U.S.).

Overview: As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help build, deploy, and support the cloud-native infrastructure that powers a large-scale enterprise platform. This is a hands-on engineering role that blends software development with DevOps and platform engineering. You'll write production-quality code, develop backend services, automate deployments, manage AWS infrastructure, and build the tooling necessary to support highly scalable applications. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full software delivery lifecycle-from designing cloud-native applications and APIs to deploying and operating them in production.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and platform services within AWS
• Build backend services, APIs, and microservices that support platform capabilities
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern cloud automation practices
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI Engineering teams to deliver scalable platform solutions
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and operational health
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvements
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
• Help improve platform scalability, resiliency, and developer productivity through automation
