Plastics Packaging Equipment Mechanic – Plant Maintenance

Choose your shift

• 3pm–11pm (C Shift)
• 11pm–7am (A Shift)

Your impact (what you’ll work on)

• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on automation equipment.
• Set up, service, and perform PMs on automation/production equipment.
• Diagnose and fix processing issues tied to equipment performance.
• Use a computer-based inventory system to generate reports and source spare parts.
• Handle day-by-day duties in Maintenance Connection (our CMMS).
• Jump in to assist maintenance/production teams; help train others when needed.
• Meet reasonable time standards from management (via verbal and written instructions) with high-quality work.
• Wear required PPE and follow all safety rules; work safely and efficiently.
• Be flexible—schedules can shift based on production demands.
• Keep your work areas safe, clean, and organized; follow all company rules and policies.
• Complete other related duties and assignments as required.

What you need to succeed

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving with mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; clear oral/written communication; solid judgment; motivation; planning and organizing; professionalism; focus on quality and output; strong safety habits; adaptability; reliable attendance and punctuality; dependability; initiative; and innovation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of technician experience in the plastics industry.
• Bring your own tools and use them safely and effectively.
