Akkodis is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team Engineer for a Contract with a client in Claycomo, MO. The ideal candidate with experience supporting vehicle quality, electrical systems validation, and root cause analysis to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Plant Vehicle Team Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Support vehicle quality and product validation activities for Transit electrical systems, including batteries, sensors, software, hardware, and electronic controls.
Investigate vehicle quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve product performance and reliability.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to identify and resolve electrical and software-related issues in a production environment.
Utilize diagnostic tools, quality systems, and problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Six Sigma to address product concerns.
Analyze quality data, monitor trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.
Support vehicle testing, validation, and assembly plant operations while ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience as a Product Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Validation Engineer in an Electrical and/or Software engineering environment.
Strong experience in automotive electrical systems, including batteries, sensors, electronic modules, software, CAN networking, and vehicle diagnostics (OBD systems).
Proven problem-solving skills with experience using quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, and 5-Why analysis to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
