Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team Engineer for a Contract with a client in Claycomo, MO. The ideal candidate with experience supporting vehicle quality, electrical systems validation, and root cause analysis to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Plant Vehicle Team Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Support vehicle quality and product validation activities for Transit electrical systems, including batteries, sensors, software, hardware, and electronic controls.

  • Investigate vehicle quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve product performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to identify and resolve electrical and software-related issues in a production environment.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools, quality systems, and problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Six Sigma to address product concerns.

  • Analyze quality data, monitor trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.

  • Support vehicle testing, validation, and assembly plant operations while ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Validation Engineer in an Electrical and/or Software engineering environment.

  • Strong experience in automotive electrical systems, including batteries, sensors, electronic modules, software, CAN networking, and vehicle diagnostics (OBD systems).

  • Proven problem-solving skills with experience using quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, and 5-Why analysis to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
