The Plant Manager is a full-time position responsible for safety, quality, and production activities at the plant site. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Essential Functions
- Champion a safe working environment by promoting safety practices, addressing incidents promptly, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of teamwork, employee ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily plant operations, providing leadership to departmental supervisors to deliver quality products on time and within budget.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with corporate purchasing on material needs.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to create a positive and effective manufacturing environment.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing operational team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility This position directly supervises all plant personnel.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role requires the ability to stand or remain sedentary for extended periods and manual dexterity to operate standard business equipment.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience
- Proven track record in process improvement and achieving results
- Purchasing and inventory management experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, and DOT regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, productive, and positive workplace
