Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the production and packing departments of a food processing facility specializing in chorizo and longaniza. This role ensures that production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards while achieving output goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production and packing operations to meet quality and quantity targets
- Manage and supervise production staff and team leads
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, sanitation)
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as needed
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost control
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies
- Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams
- Address production issues and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Experience in food manufacturing or processing required
- Previous leadership or plant management experience
- Strong understanding of production, packing, and food safety standards
- Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
