KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Utilize leadership and team building skills to maintain a harmonious work environment to produce, inventory and ship quality parts.
- Monitor both interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel interactions to ensure that all personnel that report to you directly or indirectly function well as a coordinated team.
- Lead, direct and/or assist direct reports in properly applying the progressive discipline policy to correct unacceptable behaviors and involve the human resource department as needed.
- Monitor the levels or hourly personnel and temporary employees to ensure that we are correctly staffed to maximize profits while meeting all customer demands.
- Ensure that all personnel are fully trained in all appropriate policies, procedures, and work instructions and performing in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform performance reviews as needed and suggest to upper management your recommendations for merit increases.
- Work with the Quality Department as needed to ensure that all products leaving your facility are of the highest quality.
- Participate in the review of all customer complaints and non-conformance reports with a focus on permanent corrective actions that will prevent a reoccurrence.
- Participate in Material Review Board meetings as needed.
- Be the in-plant advocate for the customer. Look at everything we do daily through the customer’s eyes.
- Lead and direct internal housekeeping program to ensure the plant is customer ready at all times.
- Work with and through your direct reports to both maximize production and minimize inefficiencies.
- Safeguard all company assets. Ensure that production equipment, molds, inventory, etc are properly stored, cleaned, and maintained at all times.
- Ensure all needed mold repairs are reported to the Engineering Dept.
- Work with your direct reports so they can ensure action is taken on designated areas for improvement.
- Continually review internal processes increase production efficiencies, reduce labor costs, and improve quality of the product produced.
- Lead and manage continuous improvement program to address all manufacturing processes, downtime, scrap, health and safety.
- 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 10 years’ Experience
