GENERAL:

 Responsible for directing all activities of the Kersey Heat Treat facility to achieve long and short term profit goals.Responsible for developing and leading plant staff, and managing Kersey plant assets, for optimal productivity and effectiveness.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.Eight years of progressive experience in a heat treating leadership position may substitute for the degree requirement.Must have a minimum of four years experience in related industry.Must be proficient in current computer software.Must have a valid driver’s license.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Manage heat treat processes in Kersey plant and develop new process methods, both directly and through staff, to achieve growth and profit goals.
  2. Supervise production, support, maintenance, and administrative human resources to achieve division goals.
  3. Maintain all capital equipment and supplies relating to heat treating for long term productivity.
  4. Participate in the selling of Heat Treating services by calling customers to solicit business, solving problems, handling complaints, and  assisting in the collection of past due accounts.
  5. Develop and maintain quality systems that meet or exceed customer and corporate expectations.
  6. Drive continual improvement efforts in all production and support activities.
  7. Ensure the safe operation of equipment, safe work habits of the employees, and administer safety programs within the guidelines established by the corporation and Division Manager.
  8. Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions as required.
  9. Must be able to understand and reliably carry out extensive and detailed process instructions.
  10. Must be able to deal effectively with processing needs, internal schedules, and other customer concerns.
  11. Must be able to communicate effectively by both written and oral means.
  12. Must be able to provide effective leadership and performance monitoring of staff.
  13. Must be able to understand, assimilate, and clearly communicate division production goals to staff.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
