    Plant Manager

    Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Full-time

    Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Birmingham Metro Area, Bessemer, Alabama, that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 
    Position Summary
    We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead all manufacturing and supply chain operations while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational performance. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing, inventory management, fabrication, assembly, shipping, and supply chain functions while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.     Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

    • Provide strategic leadership for receiving, warehousing, inventory management, fabrication, assembly, shipping, and supply chain operations.

    • Ensure operational performance consistently meets customer expectations for quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

    • Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the manufacturing facility, fostering engagement and accountability.

    • Lead organizational change initiatives and operational transformation projects to improve business performance.
    Continuous Improvement

    • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

    • Identify operational performance gaps and implement structured improvement plans to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

    • Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and operational excellence.

    • Utilize KPIs, operational metrics, and analytics to monitor performance and support data-driven decision-making.
    Manufacturing & Supply Chain

    • Optimize inventory management, material flow, production planning, and supplier relationships.

    • Leverage ERP, MRP, MES, and other manufacturing systems to improve operational visibility and planning.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production scheduling and resource utilization.

    • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes to maximize throughput, quality, and customer satisfaction.
    Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operations teams while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect.

    • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Maintenance, Quality, and IT to align operational priorities with business objectives.

    • Promote a culture of collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous learning.
    Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

    • Promote a strong safety culture focused on employee well-being and operational excellence.

    • Ensure manufacturing operations comply with quality standards, environmental requirements, and company procedures.
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field required.

    • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within industrial manufacturing.

    • Minimum of 8 years in senior plant or operations leadership roles.

    • Experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations with 100+ employees.

    • Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, organizational transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, MES, and manufacturing information systems.

    • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability.

    • Experience leading within complex, cross-functional manufacturing organizations.
