Constellation Search Group is looking for a Plant Manager for a full-time direct hire position. This role involves directing and controlling the overall activities of operations in Irvine, California. Key responsibilities include planning, budgeting, implementing, and maintaining cost controls while ensuring the safe production of quality products. The position also encompasses oversight of warehouse, quality, end-of-line testing, planning, and SMT operations.
Responsibilities:- Ensure plant safety performance and cultivate a strong safety culture.
- Enhance safety records by addressing physical and employee safety issues and improving housekeeping.
- Set and uphold a quality culture within the plant.
- Implement Lean practices and foster a Lean culture.
- Manage plant P&L, including budget spending and production volume adjustments.
- Plan and organize manufacturing operations for effective asset returns.
- Establish plans minimizing manufacturing costs through optimized resource utilization.
- Oversee shift production schedules.
- Build and maintain a well-trained and motivated staff.
- Conduct employee performance reviews and mentor direct reports.
- Coordinate purchasing, production, and shipping with department heads.
- Establish accountabilities for problem-solving and cost reduction.
- Manage customer relations, business development strategies, and performance standards.
- Implement policies for meeting customer expectations on On-Time-Delivery.
- Improve Client utilization and schedule stability.
- Encourage employee involvement and input within management practices.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest production management concepts.
Qualifications:- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operations financials and overcoming technical challenges.
- Proven project execution and follow-up abilities.
- Extensive Lean and Six Sigma experience with a focus on CIP.
- Experience in SMT manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing.
- Oracle NetSuite ERP proficiency.
- BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10+ years of Plant Management experience in high-volume, high-mix settings.
- Experience in Change Management, P&L ownership, and financial literacy.
- Proven Project Management experience.
- CIP leadership leveraging Lean & Six Sigma methods.
