At our client’s facility, the Plant Equipment Mechanic is the go-to expert for the gear that powers production. If you thrive on solving tough mechanical puzzles and enjoy the variety of working across HVAC, boilers, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and more, this is your arena.

Core Impact

  • Uphold safe, reliable operation of mechanical facilities and plant structures (pumps, boilers, air, water, reactor systems).
  • Deploy hand and power tools to complete precision repairs and adjustments.
  • Diagnose faults, strip down equipment, replace/repair parts, and reassemble complex machinery.
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical equipment, PLCs, instrumentation, electrical controls, and VFDs.
  • Handle building maintenance: roofs, structures, and furniture repairs.
  • Partner with fellow technicians; take on additional assignments as needed.

What You Bring

  • HS Diploma or GED (advanced training/certs preferred).
  • Availability for mandatory overtime and weekend work when required.
  • Mechanical savvy and strong troubleshooting instincts.
  • Demonstrated ability (with testing) in: Arc/MIG/TIG/Stick welding; PLCs; electrical; VFDs; HVAC; pumps; hydraulics; pneumatics; gearboxes.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Capable of lifting/moving 50+ lbs.
  • Physically able to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, and kneel.
  • Solid hand/eye coordination; able to stand for long stretches.
  • Strong communication across teams and shifts.
