What you’ll handle

  • Track down the cause of electrical failures using test equipment and hand tools—then fix the issue decisively.
  • Conduct inspections to uncover hazards, defects, or adjustment needs and verify everything aligns with electrical codes.
  • Repair or replace wiring, components, and equipment with the right mix of hand and power tools.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures with attention to detail.
  • Confirm system compatibility and safety by testing circuits and continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and ammeters.
  • Use basic computer proficiency to manage an internet‑based work order system within Microsoft Windows.

Your toolkit and know‑how

  • Troubleshooting experience on high‑voltage systems up to 480V three‑phase and 500V DC.
  • Strong capability with low‑voltage control circuits and diagnostics.
  • Comfort using test instruments including digital multimeters and ammeters.
  • Fluent in reading schematics, recognizing electrical symbols, and interpreting specifications.
  • Grounded in electrical theory with practical application of Ohm’s law.
  • Mechanical aptitude with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with AC/DC drives and PLCs in a manufacturing environment.
