Role Snapshot

You arrive to the plant floor with a clear plan: keep every production line safe, reliable, and on-spec. You review preventive maintenance for production machines, air compressors, and chillers; walk the floor with a trained eye and ear; and use meters and tests to isolate faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. You guide installations for new equipment, approve project designs and budgets, and drive targeted improvement projects that cut downtime and elevate quality.

As the leader of the maintenance section, you coach engineers and technicians, align work orders and PM records, and coordinate with production scheduling so repairs happen with minimal disruption. You manage spare parts, enforce PPE and lockout/tagout, and uphold ISO and OSHA procedures. Each month, you analyze downtime trends, performance reports, and KPIs to assess section performance and set priorities.

What You’ll Handle

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute PMs on production machinery, air compressors, chillers, and related electrical systems; troubleshoot via observation, listening, and testing; resolve issues quickly and safely.
  • Projects & Installations: Evaluate and approve engineering designs and budgets; oversee equipment installations; deliver special improvement initiatives.
  • Quality & Compliance: Apply established quality guidelines; monitor output for specification conformance; address nonconformances promptly; comply with ISO and OSHA.
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop engineers and technicians; review work orders, PM records, and forms; approve evaluations.
  • Inventory & Scheduling: Control spare parts purchasing and storage; coordinate with production and scheduling for timely maintenance and repairs.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze downtime, reports, and monthly metrics; evaluate and improve maintenance section performance.
  • Safety First: Enforce PPE use (safety shoes, glasses, ear protection) and LOTO; conduct machine safety inspections.
