We are looking for an Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team at our Wylie, Texas facility. The Control Systems Engineer position will be responsible for the development, installation and troubleshooting of Control System Architectures, PLC programs (Allen-Bradley), HMI programming, Drives, SCADA systems, control panels and instrumentation. You will design and implement a variety of fiber, wired and wireless systems using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, etc.).
Responsibilities:
• Programming and troubleshooting in an industrial environment • Supporting the maintenance team with troubleshooting and problem resolution • Specification and installation of new plant automation equipment • Leading electrical projects including new, replacement, and repair of equipment • Enforcing safe work practices and designing safety into all systems • Maintaining good working relationships with all employees, vendors, and contract support staff
Requirements:
• Industry experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineering • Proficiency with PLCs (A/B ControlLogix) • Experience and knowledge of HMIs (FactoryTalk Machine Addition, Wonderware) • Proficiency in PLC Programming including ladder logic, function block, and structured text • Proficiency in Drive programming (Powerflex, ABB) • Familiarity with networking (Ethernet/IP) • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics is a plus but not a requirement.
