Planning Engineer - Kent (Inside IR35)
Belcan Workforce Solutions is offering an exciting opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join a major UK programme focused on the defuelling and decommissioning of an AGR nuclear power station. This is a first-of-its-kind endeavour in the UK, giving the Planning Engineer the chance to contribute to a highly complex and nationally significant project within a regulated environment.
As part of the Project Controls team, the Planning Engineer will work closely with Project Managers to develop and manage schedules that incorporate risk, change, resource requirements and cost. You will play a key role in ensuring project plans are robust, achievable and aligned with broader delivery objectives.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining cost and resource-loaded schedules, establishing logic-linked baseline plans, and monitoring project performance through analysis and reporting. You will lead on Earned Value Management (EVM) practices, maintain Work Breakdown Structures, and challenge variances against baseline plans to ensure accuracy and control.
To be successful, you will bring strong Primavera (P6) expertise, excellent analytical skills, and experience within project controls, ideally in a regulated environment. This presents a fantastic opportunity to further your career on a high-profile programme.
This role is based in Kent with site attendance required four days per week and is classified as Inside IR35.
