As a Planning and Logistics Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing, directly managing the team and ensuring the success of the materials management organization and function. Your primary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring accuracy of material inventory to support production schedules.

You will report to the Plant Director, and you'll work onsite daily out of the Danville, KY location.

In this role, you will impact and improve the value chain planning and execution in the IGS business at the Danville site. Your strategic actions ensure a streamlined and efficient supply chain, minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization for inventory control. Your ability to optimize inventory levels and support effective procurement strategies directly impacts the company''s bottom line by reducing operational expenses and ensuring a constant flow of the right materials to production based upon Oracle inventory control adherence.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 8 or more years of experience in manufacturing environment with a focus in materials management, planning & scheduling, warehousing & logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
  • 3 years as a manager with proven experience to make data driven decisions.
  • 3 years of ERP proficiency (preference in Oracle ERP)
  • 3 years of experience with transactional adherence and inventory control in support of multi-shift manufacturing operations.

WE VALUE

  • Master''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communications skills both verbal and written including management level reports.
  • Working knowledge of raw material, work in process, purchased and finished good inventory control across fabrication, assembly and stock areas.
  • Experience with a fast-paced environment while striving to continually improve process.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to teach same to others
  • Structured problem-solving experience including root cause and corrective action implementation
  • Experience with regulatory compliance aligned with Finance department.
  • Expertise with production planning and clear to build materials impact to production.
  • Warehouse design and material flow best practice implementation experience.
  • Process mindset, lean implementation experience including back-office processes, floor plan layout and flow.

Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Intelligrated (IGS) business to American Industrial Partners ("AIP").   • Development of comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with the company''s overall objectives.
  • Owns the production planning & scheduling, inbound and outbound logistics, production support logistics and inventory control processes.
  • Site lead for physical inventory events including team preparation and event execution
  • Drives process improvements to prevent inventory errors before occurring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production schedules, forecast demands, financial approvals and support the procurement decision making.
  • Confirm the standard process, document, train and confirm process control related to Standard Work utilized at all levels of the organization.
  • Align inventory levels with justification to the S&OP data
  • Active management and control for all non-nettable, negative, excess and obsolete inventory showing positive results in improvement over time.
  • Maintain 5S standards related to all inventory with measured areas of improvement.
