PLAN REVIEWER/SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR

Salary Range: $81,666 - $90,807

Civilian Pay Grade: 13

FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY FOR THE BUILDING INSPECTOR SENIOR POSITION:

The Plan Reviewer/Building Inspector will perform complex skilled technical work reviewing plans and inspecting properties and reviewing plans for compliance with City codes, and related work as apparent or assigned. The work of the Plan Reviewer/Building Inspector is performed under the limited supervision of the Building/Zoning Administrator. A full job description for the position can be found below.

BUILDING INSPECTOR SENIOR JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education Requirement: The Plan Reviewer/Building Inspector position requires a High school diploma or GED and extensive experience in plan review and building inspections.

Certifications Required: The Plan Reviewer/Building Inspector position requires International Code Council (ICC) certifications in the areas of Plans Examiner for International Building & Residential Codes 1 & 2, Family Building Inspector, Building Inspector and Commercial Building Inspector. Valid driver's license is also required for the position.
