POSITION:

  • Full Time PK-8 Assistant Principal 8 hours per day Champion Schools

EFFECTIVE DATE:

  • 2026-2027 School Year

ASSIGNMENT:

  • Champion Central Elementary and Champion Middle School, Warren, Ohio Trumbull County
  • Enrollment: 1100 students

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ohio Principal Certification/Licensure for PK-6 and 4-9
  • A minimum of five years'' experience as a teacher or administrator
  • Must be aware of current trends & development in education
  • OTES credentialed
  • Must possess leadership characteristics

DUTIES:

  • Assists in the establishment of goals and objectives for the school.
  • Provides leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating instructional programs.
  • Represent the building administrative team on school district committees as assigned.
  • Manage specific academic departments/programs as directed.
  • Assist in working with individual staff needs.
  • Evaluate personnel and assist in the determination of goals to improve performance.
  • Shall assist in the direction, supervision, and evaluation of building instructional program.
  • Assists in the improvement of the quality of the instructional program by supporting teacher implementation of the curriculum.
  • Assists in providing the leadership necessary to support the professional growth of all staff
  • Develops and administers PBIS programs for staff and students
  • Supervises extra and co-curricular activities in the school and after school
  • Establishes and enforces fair disciplinary procedures that guarantee student due process. Ensures students, staff, and parents are well-informed of these policies, and directly addresses student behavior issues referred to the administration
  • Directs the Absence Intervention Team in identifying, tracking, and supporting students with chronic absenteeism
  • Develops and implements proactive strategies, incentives, and action plans to improve daily student attendance
  • Partners with parents, counselors, and community resources to remove barriers to regular school attendance.
  • Participate in professional growth activities.

CONTRACT:

  • 198 Days

SALARY RANGE:

  • Per board-approved administrative salary schedule
