The Bilingual Teacher is an exempt/professional role reporting to the Principal, responsible for providing students with engaging learning experiences in core academic subjects to support their overall growth—intellectual, emotional, physical, and social. They must hold a Bachelor's degree, possess or be able to obtain a Texas Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification, and demonstrate competency in their subject area. Key duties include developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs, utilizing effective instructional strategies, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff and specialists. They manage classroom behavior, create a positive learning environment, and supervise instructional aides. Additionally, they communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the community, participate in professional development, and adhere to district policies. The role involves physical demands such as prolonged standing, lifting, and working indoors/outdoors, with a focus on fostering student success and maintaining a safe, organized classroom environment.
