You clock in to a clean, well-organized shop, run your safety checks, and review the day’s prints. First up: a run of 6-inch pipe, Schedule 80, set up on a positioner for rolled (pinwheel) passes. Later, you switch to a positional weld on Schedule 160, verifying fit-up and parameters to meet code-quality requirements. Before the day is out, you lay in a full-penetration TIG weld on 2-inch pipe, inspecting root, fill, and cap for consistency. Throughout, you track heat input, maintain your equipment, and document results against specifications.
