Randall Construction - Prefabrication department is currently seeking top-tier Pipe Welders to work in our Shop in Apopka, FL. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.

Position Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for Pipe Welders located in Apopka, FL. The Pipe Welders will be responsible for welding and fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications.

Essential Functions

Fit and Weld steel pipes for plumbing/mechanical applications.

Desired Qualification Requirements

  • Knowledge ofplumbing, pipefitting, and welding techniques
  • Abilityto read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets.
  • Excellentmechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail
  • High school diplomaor equivalent. Vocational training or certification in pipe welding
  • Must be able topass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview.
  • Working knowledgeof SMAW, FCAW, Stick (6010/7018) welding
  • Working knowledgeof gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually)
  • Excellent knowledge of Fittingconfigurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping
  • Preferred knowledgeof examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of pipingsystems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating andcooling systems.
  • Strong attention todetail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication:Effective English or Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and writtencommunication skills are a must have
  • Teamwork: Abilityto work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, andproject stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success.
  • Safety: Commitmentto adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure asafe working environment for oneself and others.
Physical Requirements

This is primarily a field or jobsite job.You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
