    We Are Looking For Someone Like You

    As a Assistant Shop Manager / Project Engineer, you will be a vital member of Murphy's Pipe Shop team. You will help build our company's portfolio by utilizing your attention to detail and time management skills to ensure timely, accurate, and thorough completion of fabrication for Murphy Company at our off-site facility.

    Your Day-to-Day at Murphy Company

    • Assist in processing safety audits and evaluating hazard potential in the shop
    • Assist in all aspects of pipe and steel fabrication, including time management, material release and procurement process, labor hours, scheduling and workflow updates
    • Communicate document issues back to Virtual Construction for updates
    • Assist in coordinating trucking and material offsite storage
    • Monitor/procure shop tools and consumables
    • Audit day-to-day production to ensure the shop team is operating at peak efficiency

    Bring Your A-Game!

    Our ideal candidate should possess the following traits:

    • 1+ years of experience in mechanical or another related field
    • Good attitude and excellent communication skills
    • Experience with mechanical/piping trade
    • The ability to work well in a team environment and be deadline and detail driven
