Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a highly skilled, versatile Radiologists to provide consistent, weekday onsite coverage at Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo, CA.
This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role designed for physicians who thrive in a highly procedural environment and possess a strong blend of diagnostic acumen, light interventional capabilities, and breast imaging proficiency. As an integral part of the onsite hospital team, you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of care, supporting hospital throughput, and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and cancer detection.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging: Interpret advanced imaging modalities including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
Breast Imaging & Intervention: Provide diagnostic and screening mammography. Perform stereotactic breast biopsies and ultrasound-guided biopsies to support oncology and women's health service lines.
Light Interventional Radiology (IR): Conduct essential, time-sensitive image-guided procedures, including:
CT-guided biopsies
Lumbar punctures
Nephrostomy tube placements
Thoracentesis and Paracentesis
Barium swallow studies
Onsite Collaboration: Provide consistent, in-person weekday coverage. Collaborate closely with emergency, oncology, and surgical teams to ensure rapid diagnosis, timely interventions, and optimized hospital operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
MD or DO degree.
ABR Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Demonstrated clinical competency in mammography and light interventional procedures.
An active, unrestricted California Medical License (or the ability to obtain one).
A commitment to onsite, in-person patient care (this position cannot be supported via teleradiology).
