Function independently to provide high quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-centric manner
Provide care in various settings including direct patient interaction in hospital/clinic, telephone, video, or secure email when appropriate
Gather patient history, conduct physical exams, review prior records, and analyze ancillary data using sound judgment and critical problem-solving skills
Develop and monitor appropriate treatment plans while communicating effectively with patients, families, and care teams
Deliver efficient and compassionate care utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination, and evaluation
Provide relevant education and counseling to patients and families to support care plans, treatment, and discharge
Collaborate with healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to ensure safe patient care
Assist collaborating physicians with patient management consistent with care site policies and approved scope of practice
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and practice metrics with proper documentation
May be required to float to other departments based on business needs and be placed on-call during scheduled shifts
Must have MD or DO degree from fully accredited medical school with residency training in specialty area
Requires valid state medical license, board certification/eligibility, valid DEA, and BLS/ACLS certification
