Responsibilities:USA Health is seeking a full-time board-certified/board eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Intensivist who is interested in providing expert care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions and those requiring intensive care. This physician will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with life-threatening illnesses, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, and complex pulmonary disorders. The role combines clinical expertise in pulmonary medicine with critical care management in the ICU. The job will be 26 weeks/year with a seven-day on/seven day off model. The hospital is affiliated with the University of South Alabama, and the candidate will be responsible for teaching and supervising Pulmonary and Critical Care fellows who are rotating on the service. Some opportunities for rotating on the Pulmonary Consult service at University Hospital might be available if there is interest.

Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited medical school, licensure with the State of Alabama board, certified in clinical area, and DEA registration. USA Hospital staff privileges eligible.
