Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, the Physician Practice Coordinator oversees and facilitates the daily operations of low volume specialty practices that do not require a Practice Manager. S/he works closely with the Sr. Director to set goals and implement processes to improve office operations. The Physician Practice Coordinator is responsible for managing day to day operational needs including staffing, A/R, A/P, the front office and patient flow. S/he supervises the administrative support staff, Medical Assistants, and is a resource for the Physician and Mid-Level Practitioner staff. S/he will continuously review existing practice operations with a view towards enhancing quality, efficiency, innovation, patient satisfaction, and cost reduction. The Physician Practice Coordinator also handles report preparation and analysis of physician practices for the Sr. Director, serves as an Epic super user and a trainer for all practice management systems.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 3 years of related Physician Practice Experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Meditech (if applicable to position)
    • Epic (if applicable to position)
    • Performance Manager/NetLearning
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to accurately type 40 words per minute
Min: USD $26.13/Hr. Max: USD $43.11/Hr. Salary Information: Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
