About the Opportunity

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated per-diem Pediatric Physiatrist to join our team on the island of O'ahu , to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with a broad range of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and developmental conditions, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other functional impairments

  • Perform comprehensive rehabilitation evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to optimize function, mobility, and quality of life

  • Participate in inpatient consult services and shared call coverage as assigned

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatric subspecialists, therapists (PT/OT/SLP), social workers, and other allied health professionals

  • Perform chemo denervation procedures for management of hypertonia including botulinum toxin injections and phenol chemo neurolysis.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in the specialty area of practice

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital.
