Neurologist, Neuro-Palliative – Berkeley, Castro Valley, CA
Our organization is looking to recruit a full-time Neurologist to become part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine.
The selected candidate will engage in general neurology while also establishing a neuro-palliative practice.
This role offers a commitment of 0.8-1.0 FTE.
The position is primarily based in an outpatient clinic focused on general neurology.
Call duties are shared among eight neurologists and are conducted via telephone.
Participation in the neurology hospital consultation service is optional (at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center).
One day will be spent in Castro Valley, with 2-3 clinic days in Berkeley, which serves as the specialty hub.
One day will be allocated for virtual consultations or home visits.

Our large neurology department consists of clinicians who practice general neurology while also having subspecialty interests, fellowship training, and experience.
Each clinician is supported by a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA).
Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) support are available for specific services.
Qualifications
Board certification or eligibility in Neurology is mandatory.
Experience or training in neuro-palliative care is required.
An active and unrestricted California Medical License is necessary.
A current DEA license is also required.
While prior experience is preferred, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
