What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert clinical care within a Level IIIB NICU caring for approximately 625 admissions annually
  • Serve as Practice Medical Director, overseeing clinical operations and team performance
  • Lead initiatives to improve quality, safety, and clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners to expand services
  • Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Engage in scholarly activities, research projects, and educational programming
  • Utilize advanced neonatal therapies, including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide
  • Mentor and support interdisciplinary teams including pediatric subspecialists such as maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
What You Need
Required:
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Neonatology
  • Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Leadership experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Preferred:
  • Experience in academic medicine or program development
  • Familiarity with advanced neonatal therapies
  • Past involvement in quality improvement and research projects
