**Description** PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Thoracic Surgeon to join our rapidly growing thoracic surgery service. This staff surgeon role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence based, patient-centered care with an emphasis on robotic thoracic surgery. The position is clinically focused on multidisciplinary care and quality initiatives within a collaborative regional network. **Key Responsibilities** **Clinical Care** + Provide comprehensive thoracic surgical care including lung, pleural, mediastinal, and esophageal disease (as applicable). + Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and shared call coverage. + Ensure high standards of perioperative care and patient safety. + Multidisciplinary Collaboration + Collaborate with pulmonology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology teams within the region. + Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinated care planning. + Support timely and efficient patient pathways for diagnosis and treatment. + Quality & Program Participation + Participate in quality initiatives including STS database reporting and outcomes improvement. + Support comprehensive ERAS protocols and evidence-based perioperative care pathways. + Engage in continuous quality improvement and patient safety activities. + Education (Optional Participation) + Participate in teaching activities for residents, students, and clinical staff as applicable. + Support OR team education and robotic surgery training initiatives. + Required Qualifications + Completion of an ACGME-accredited thoracic surgery fellowship. + Board Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. + Minimum of 2 years of experience with robotic thoracic surgery. + Eligible for Washington State medical licensure. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with esophageal surgery is highly preferred. + Experience developing multidisciplinary care models. + Interest in quality improvement Compensation & Benefits: + Starting salary of $654,784 based on a 1.0 FTE with productivity incentives. + Generous employment bonus + Relocation financial assistance with access to relocation vendors such as home finding services, rental housing, and household moving services + Educational loan reimbursement for those who qualify + Select from one of three health and medical benefits plans to suit your personal needs + Two retirement savings accounts, 403(b) & 401(a), with an optional third 457(b) plan for those who qualify **PeaceHealth has a clinician well-being program that includes:** + A dedicated medical director of clinician wellness + Vendor relationships that provide free coaching, counseling, and concierge services + Practice experience program (PEP), longitudinal New Clinician Education and Clinician Leadership Development programs that focus on efficiency principles, patient, and human experience, and include CME credits + DAX - An ambient intelligent scribe solution to assists with completing ambulatory notes. **Explore Vancouver, Washington:** Look any direction and the scenery is astounding!
