Overview:
We are seeking a Physician Liaison, sometimes referred to as a Provider Relations Liaison, Physician Outreach Liaison or Business Development Liaison. The Physician Liaison partners with hospital leadership to build and strengthen relationships with referring physicians and community providers. The Physician Liaison supports business development, public relations, marketing, customer service, and patient referral growth by promoting hospital services and improving communication with physician practices within our Public Relations department.
Shifts Available: Days (Monday through Friday)
Employment Type: Full Time – Exempt
Hours: 8-hour shifts – 8:00am to 4:30pm
Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Partner with the Hospital CEO and Director of Business Development to support physician outreach and referral growth
- Develop, manage, and expand relationships with referring physicians and provider practices
- Share updates on hospital initiatives, new service lines, quality scores, and marketing strategies
- Promote hospital services through relationship building, public relations, and community outreach
- Support patient referral coordination by improving communication between the hospital and physician offices
- Provide excellent customer service to physicians, practices, and internal hospital teams
Qualifications:
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree required - Business (development), Sales and/or Marketing coursework/degree preferred
- Three years’ experience preferred in physician relations, sales and/or consulting within a Primary Care or Specialty Physician Practice
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to function with minimal direction and supervision
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills, writing, spelling, telephone etiquette, and sensitive interface with community members, physicians and employees required
- Computer literacy with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required
