Physician Hospitalist - Competitive Salary

Lawrence, Massachusetts – Hospitalist Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine hospitalist - client is willing to consider 2027 grads if they are fluent in Spanish, if not, candidates must be able to start prior
• Full-time position
• Join a hospital with a busy emergency center and Level III trauma designation
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Spanish language skills are a plus (not required)

Hospitalist Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and develop treatment plans for adult inpatients
• Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans and progress
• Ensure smooth transitions of care at shift changes and discharge
• Document care appropriately in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and teaching opportunities
• Comply with all hospital, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards

Schedule & Clinical Details:

• 7-on / 7-off schedule
• Night shifts or a mix of 50% days / 50% nights (no full-time day-only option currently)
• Approximately 6–8 admissions per night
• Admitter coverage until 10:00 PM (physician or NP), then solo until 7:00 AM
• ICU admissions with management support from eICU and ICU NP
• No procedures required
• Cross-cover floor calls
• Respond to codes and rapid responses (ED handles procedures/interventions)
• Average ~20 floor calls/messages nightly, ~1 rapid response per night, and 1–2 code blues per month

About the Client:

• Base salary: $130–$145/hour (excluding bonuses and benefits)
