Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time hematology/oncology locums coverage position starting early August
- Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Work alongside team of 3 MDs and 3 APPs with support from RN/MA, navigators and infusion RNs
- Perform bone marrow biopsies as required
- 1:4 weekly hospital call coverage from Friday 7:30 AM to Friday 7:30 AM
- Daily hospital rounding for 1-2 hours Monday through Sunday
- Additional weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Provide care for acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients
- Handle phone calls during call coverage with rare call-ins required
- Share weekday clinic call responsibilities for add-on consults and chemotherapy patient supervision
- Supervise chemotherapy clinic patients independently
- Average of 15 patient encounters per shift
- Must be board certified or board eligible with fellowship training required
- ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
- Must utilize real-time mobile time clock with GPS capability
