Responsibilities:

The pediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, diagnosing and treating a wide range of childhood illnesses and conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Perform routine wellness examinations and developmental screenings.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic childhood illnesses, injuries, and infections.
  • Provide immunizations according to CDC guidelines and maintain accurate vaccination records.
  • Counsel patients and families on proper nutrition, hygiene, growth, and development.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and maintain thorough medical records.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Educate parents/guardians about medical conditions and preventative healthcare.
  • Adhere to medical ethics and patient confidentiality 
  • Participate in weekend coverage rotations 
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited pediatric residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
  • Valid and unrestricted Alabama medical license
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
