Location: Luling, Texas (1 hour from Austin, TX and 1 hour from San Antonino, TX)

Schedule: Full-Time 
$5000 CME allowance + 5 dedicated CME days

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Under-served Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Destination Type.

What You Will Do:

Ascension Seton is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician for our Ascension Seton Luling Health Center.

 

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton to provide medical services to patients.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Luling is located about 40 miles east of Austin
  • Lots of growth in area due to proximity to Tesla Factory and Samsung
  • High demand for Primary Care providers in area
  • Specialists are available to the provider due to the vast resources of Ascension Texas.  Smithville has cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics on site each week

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements. Appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
