The endocrinology service line is supported by a multidisciplinary team including primary care providers, cardiologists, nephrologists, nutritionists, and diabetes educators, ensuring comprehensive management of endocrine and metabolic disorders.

Position Summary

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) to join its growing outpatient-focused practice in New Haven, Connecticut .

This is a full-time, permanent position primarily focused on managing a wide range of endocrine conditions in an outpatient setting, with minimal inpatient responsibilities. The role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong patient panel within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders
• Provide comprehensive outpatient care with a focus on long-term disease management and prevention
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate patient care
• Interpret diagnostic tests including hormone assays, imaging studies, and metabolic evaluations
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medication management, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
• Support population health initiatives related to diabetes and endocrine disease management

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Training: Residency in Internal Medicine; Fellowship in Endocrinology required

Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology

Licensure: Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure

Experience: Open to both experienced endocrinologists and new graduates/fellows

Skills: Strong clinical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
