Job Description
Non-Invasive Cardiologist (MD/DO)Position Summary

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of heart disease using non-invasive testing modalities. This role emphasizes outpatient and inpatient consultative care, preventive cardiology, and longitudinal management of cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
  • Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care and inpatient consultation services as needed
  • Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies such as transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic), ambulatory rhythm monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor treatment effectiveness and safety
  • Participate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, and other specialists
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
  • Supervise and educate residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers as applicable
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility
