You will work closely with an experienced MD to provide high-quality rounding and consultation services, focusing on outpatient and inpatient care without the pressures of surgical assistance.
Required Skills:
Active California Physician Assistant license
Valid California DEA registration
BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Ability to perform inpatient rounding, consult patients, and manage medical notes efficiently
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous urology experience or familiarity with urological conditions
Experience with hospital-based outpatient care
Comfort with electronically documenting clinical encounters
Preferred Education and Experience:
Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient urology setting preferred
Proven track record in inpatient and outpatient care coordination
Other Requirements:
Hospital privileges to round and consult patients
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM (including inpatient rounds in the early morning)
Must be available for a consistent schedule, ideally four weeks per month
Preapproval from your clinic manager (Melissa S) required for any overtime
