Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services within the University Hospital (UH) GIGU Radiology division. This role supports high-acuity inpatient and outpatient workflows, with a focus on patient-centered care, procedural support, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities*
Coordinate activities of the UH GI Radiology service, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care.
Perform and/or assist with diagnostic fluoroscopic procedures including but not limited to:
Conduct patient assessments including focused history and physical exams prior to procedures and during follow-up.
Assess prior imaging studies.
Provide telephone triage and evaluate case appropriateness for procedures.
Write pre- and post-procedure notes, orders, dictate orders, and perform appropriate documentation in the EMR.
Assign standardized protocols and contrast material for fluoroscopic exams.
Perform patient assessment prior to administration of moderate/conscious sedation.
Provide patient education for post-procedure care, including tube management.
Support resident and fellow education in diagnostic fluoroscopic procedures.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Assist in quality improvement initiatives and development of procedural metrics.
Support operational workflows including scheduling coordination and equipment/inventory management.
Participate in clinical research initiatives as applicable.
Other duties as assigned by the GI and faculty leadership.

Full Time Salary range: $138,489 - $213,657 / year

Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Work Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Primarily day shift with coverage based at University Hospital (UH) and BCSC. This position may float to other sites if the need arises.
Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Physician Assistants of Michigan Medicine (UPAMM), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening
