Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Rizk Orthopedic Practice Jacksonville, FL | Full-Time

About the Role

We are a welcoming, well-established orthopedic practice in Jacksonville, FL looking for an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our close-knit team. Our office has a warm, family-feel culture where providers, staff, and patients genuinely enjoy being part of the day. We are looking for someone who shares that spirit — a kind, confident provider who takes pride in delivering excellent orthopedic care and supporting our surgeon both in clinic and on hospital rounds.

What We're Looking For — Experience Matters

This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically seeking a provider with at least one (1) year of hands-on experience working alongside an orthopedic surgeon or in an orthopedic office. We need someone who already understands the rhythm of orthopedic care and can step in comfortably from day one.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Clinically strong and well-rounded — comfortable handling a wide range of orthopedic cases
  • Comfortable maintaining a steady clinic schedule while providing thoughtful, personalized care
  • Willing and ready to assist with hospital rounds for our patients
  • A strong communicator who works hand-in-hand with the physician and clinical staff
  • Patient, personable, and known for outstanding bedside manner
  • Warm, confident, and professional — someone who adds positive energy to the office
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and excited to be part of a supportive office culture
Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and care for orthopedic patients in the clinic setting
  • Assist the surgeon with hospital rounds and inpatient care
  • Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care
  • Perform in-office injections as appropriate
  • Communicate clearly and warmly with patients, families, and team members
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation
Qualifications & Certification Requirements

For Physician Assistants (PA):

  • Active Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida (or eligible to obtain)
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
  • Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program
  • Current DEA registration
  • BLS certification required (ACLS a plus)
For Nurse Practitioners (NP):

  • Active APRN license in the State of Florida (or eligible to obtain)
  • National board certification through ANCC or AANP (FNP, AGNP, or AGACNP preferred)
  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current DEA registration
  • BLS certification required (ACLS a plus)
For Both:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with an orthopedic surgeon or in an orthopedic practice (required)
  • Strong clinical skills, reliability, and professionalism
  • Comfortable balancing clinic responsibilities with assisting on hospital rounds
Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with multiple bonus structures expected to bring income well into the high $100s
  • Multiple performance and production-based bonus opportunities
  • Supportive, family-feel office environment with a physician who values and rewards a dependable provider
  • Additional benefits to be discussed during the interview process
Why Join Us

Join a tight-knit, hardworking orthopedic team where your experience will be valued, your contributions will matter, and you'll work alongside a physician who appreciates a strong, dependable provider. We take pride in delivering excellent patient care in a warm, welcoming office where people genuinely like coming to work.
