Position: Physician Assistant
Location: New York City, NY 10003
Duration: 06/12/26 to 09/11/26 (14-week contract with possible extension)
Pay: 95/hr.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 8 AM to 04:30 PM
40 hours weekly | No weekends or on-call!
Overview: Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support a workplace-based primary care clinic. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of the physician.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings and formulates a plan and prognosis, based on the patient’s condition.
Provides written home-going instructions.
Collaborates with the physician and other health professionals and prepares patient care plans as necessary.
Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Refers patients to the physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3 years of clinical experience as a PA in primary care, ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, emergency department, or a similar setting is required.
Must have experience in Women's Health.
Active Physician Assistant license in New York
BLS certification or ability to renew post-offer
ACLS certification preferred
DEA preferred
Experience using EPIC EMR preferred
