Position Highlights
Gynecology-Focused Practice - Join an established outpatient OB/GYN specialty clinic with a primary focus on women''s health and gynecologic care.
Long-Term First Assist Opportunity - Perform first assist duties in the OR approximately 1-2 days per month, making this an excellent opportunity for PAs interested in maintaining surgical skills.
Autonomous Practice - Work independently with monthly quality assurance reviews by the supervising physician.
Monday-Friday Schedule - Standard clinic hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional 7:00 AM OR first assist responsibilities. No call or weekend requirements.
Balanced Clinical Responsibilities
New and established patient visits
Follow-up and global post-operative visits
In-basket management
Office procedures including Pap smears, IUD insertions, and Nexplanon procedures
Manageable Patient Volume - Average 15 patients per day, allowing for quality patient care.
Strong Clinical Support - Dedicated 1:1 CMA support, shared Patient Service Specialist (PSS), and additional clinic staff.
Outpatient Setting - No inpatient rounding or hospital call; outpatient Epic workflow.
Experienced Providers Preferred - Seeking Physician Assistants with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in OB/GYN, Women''s Health, or Primary Care
Comprehensive Onboarding - Structured orientation with physician and peer shadowing to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Multi-Facility Privileges - Credentialing across several Greater Austin Region facilities provides future flexibility within the health system.

The PA Surgical Specialty-Operative is a licensed, certified healthcare provider. They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician''s scope of practice. Surgical providers care for adult and pediatric patients. They specialize in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Cosmetic, Vascular, Trauma, Transplant, Urology, Plastics, or other surgical specialties.
