What Youll Bring to the Table:
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification in California
- Active CA license and CA DEA registration
- Proficiency in endoscopic and radial artery harvesting techniques
- Ability to interpret EKGs, X-rays, labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella readings
- Strong clinical skills in inpatient rounding, first assisting in surgeries, and outpatient patient evaluations
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery settings
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac support devices and surgical procedures
- Bilingual abilities or additional languages
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- At least 2 years of relevant cardiovascular surgical experience preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work scheduled floor shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- On-call responsibilities from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day, rotating 1:2 with another PA
- Coverage includes inpatient post-op rounding, first assisting in surgeries, and outpatient clinics
- Must be able to commit for 60-90 days, with potential for earlier start for candidates with clean files
