Join Our Team as a Physician Assistant – Cardiovascular & Cardiothoracic Surgery

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional patient outcomes through hands-on clinical, surgical, and ICU support. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work closely with a leading surgical team in a state-of-the-art facility, making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Required Skills:
- Valid California Physician Assistant license and active CA DEA registration
- Proven experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery, with proficiency in radical and endoscopic vein harvesting, EKG interpretation, radiology, labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella management
- Ability to assist in OR procedures, including complex surgeries
- Competence in ICU and step-down patient management
- Flexible schedule availability, with at least 3-4 days per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Advanced certifications or specialized training in cardiothoracic procedures
- Experience with intraoperative assist techniques
- Prior involvement in a high-volume surgical setting
- Familiarity with hospital-based outpatient clinics
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ clinical experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery
- Previous experience in ICU or step-down units
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including one day of call rotation—weekday call (1:2), weekends (Friday 3pm to Monday 7am)
- Availability to start in May 2026, pending credentialing and privileges approval
- Ability to work inside a hospital setting, covering clinic, OR assistance, and rounding
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (please note, this is a placeholder; competitive compensation will be provided)
