Summary Performs cardiac surgical or cardiac thoracic and related clinical evaluations, problem assessments, initiates diagnostic and treatment plans, and educates patients. Additional duties include precepting students, new employee performing quality management activities, and providing community and professional education. The PA may perform medical services only when such services are rendered under the supervision of a fully licensed physician.
