Physician Assistant (Cardiology / Surgical – OR First Assist)
  • Location: Islandia, NY
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Compensation: Starting range $130,00 and up based on experience

Step Beyond Traditional Clinical Work

Looking to expand beyond standard outpatient care? This role offers hands-on surgical experience, direct OR exposure, and the opportunity to work alongside leading bariatric surgeons across Long Island.

You’ll split your time between patient care and first assisting in surgery, making this a strong fit for someone who wants to build both clinical and procedural expertise. Supported by an experienced clinical team including physicians, anesthesiologists, nursing leadership, and administrative staff

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct patient evaluations, exams, and diagnoses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes
  • First assist in the OR, including suturing
  • Educate and counsel patients and families

Requirements
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant
  • Active New York State License
  • ACLS & BLS Certification

Preferred (Not Required):
  • OR or surgical assisting experience
  • Cardiology and/or bariatric experience
  • Infectious Disease Certification
  • Prior clinical training experience
