Overview Job Summary Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patients health problems and serve in various settings as researchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities • Develops a plan of care within the scope of practice of the physician assistant utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care. • Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. • Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. • Provides clinical leadership. • Supports lifelong learning. • Completes assigned goals.

Experience Description Minimum Required: 1 year of clinical experience functioning in the Physician Assistant role in a primary care setting.

Education Description Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program and has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

Preferred Description Training: Additional training in a specific area of interest.

Special Skills Description Minimum Required: Computer literate. Preferred: Additional skills such as medical terminology, EHR systems, or other relevant software.

Licensure Description Minimum Required: Current license by the state they practice. Eligible for or have certificate of fitness for prescription privileges.

Reporting Relationships Does this position formally supervise employees? If set to YES, then this position has the authority delegated to hire, terminate, discipline, promote, or effectively recommend such to manager.
